Policaro Acura again named one of the Best Dealerships to Work For in Canada

Getting to work in an environment that is positive, impactful and fun is a triple threat that’s hard to come by in any industry. It’s with great pride that we announce that Policaro Acura has made the list of Best Dealerships to Work For in Canada, an award handed out by Automotive News Canada, for offering a workplace that is all of that and more. Further, it’s our dealership’s third consecutive year on the list.

Canada is home to more than 3,200 franchised dealerships, according to the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association, and so it’s an incredible honour that we’ve been recognized in this capacity amongst our peers.

“This recognition is meaningful because it’s a direct reflection of the atmosphere our management and staff cultivate,” says Fortune Policaro, General Manager at Policaro Acura. “That environment embodies collaboration, open discussions, and an understanding of how every position has a direct impact on both the employee and customer experience.”

New-car dealerships from coast to coast are eligible to participate and the process is relatively simple: employers fill out an in-depth questionnaire about their business and employees are asked to respond to a survey. The information is collected directly by the Canadian Automobile Dealers Association in order to capture honest feedback from employees.

The Association then combs through the data and conducts a report with the help of Workforce Research Group, which determines whether or not the organization is one of the Best in the country. The entire process helps to elevate dealerships that are “creating cultures that make employees proud,” all while providing invaluable, first-hand feedback to the ownership group.

For Policaro Acura, there isn’t one single behaviour that brought us to this point. It’s a combination of years of hard work, consistency and a genuine passion for our people—both employees and customers.

“Our dealership is able to achieve this through weekly circles with the entire staff, staff outings, weekly and monthly departmental meetings, and direct communication from the General Manager and our Executive Team,” adds Fortune.
